Tuna Salad ... my way

Summer is kicking off, everyone is gearing up in getting in shape for the beach. While some women and men are focus from purely weights to tone down to achieve their beach body,  I know some people out there (like me) eat their way to sexy.

Traditionally, tuna is made of mayo (which is a lot of saturated fats), onion, pepper and a bit of celery. But today I am excited to share with you my way of making a Tuna Salad. Excuse me as I'll make you spend a little extra as this Tuna Salad is loaded with fresh vegetables ingredients to increase it's nutritional value. To add some color, flavor and texture, we will add olive oil and squeezed of lemon as a dressing.

Ingredients

  • Shredded carrot (optional)
  • One can of tuna
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • One can of whole kernel corn (optional)
  • Mayo (optional)
  • Pickle relish
  • Onion (optional)
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Lettuce (I prefer Romaine & Oak Leaf  for this)

Method

Mix tuna, mayo, relish and salt & pepper together in a salad bowl.
Add shredded carrots and cheese.
Add some cherry tomatoes and lots of lettuce.
Toss

Simple and easy! It won't eat much of your time in preparing this. Allow yourself  to try and see what you think!

Btw, it would be good to have some wheat crackers to complete your amazing descent healthy meal.

the SweeT life

No parties or any gathering is complete without a round of eye-catching delicious dessert to end meals' perfectly. I am not saying that it's  mandatory (you can say so, no worries :)), however I feel that there is a short of in any nice meal I serve... that there's a needing dessert!

I know most of us (surely, everyone will agree to me) have absolutely strong sweet tooth especially the young ones. Seriously, sometimes they intend not to eat as much during meal to save a room for dessert (certainly, 'coz I am one of them). Needless to say that absolutely,  it as important part of the meal!

In organizing a dinner or simple gathering for your friends or family, count everyone you are inviting in on the needing having a dessert after meal unless you want them to walk away and think that meal isn't perfect which you wouldn't want to happen. Right?

Dessert can be something simple that you make it personally or if you feel already sluggish to prepare one because you are too tired preparing your meal, it can be store bought. Here are some sweet endings to your dinner.

If you are lazy enough to make your own dessert, I would suggest to have these stuff to serve to your guests.

BITSY BITES

A Delcious Macarons

They won't be sad holding a cup cakes :)

They would definitely enjoy luscious tarts.

What about serving irresistible cakes, I am sure one slice is not enough, they will be asking for thirds :)

SWEETNESS

Indulge your guest with cakes, surely will keep them smiling :)

Nothing beats a healthy fruity salad. Try to be creative in serving them!

HEALTH IS WEALTH

Seriously, people are funny critters and that includes me. You give a very nice dinner with great food and drinks and yet all they remember is there was no desert served. So remember, DESSERT IS A MUST!
