I used to read a bible when I was in Manila 5 years ago but to be honest I don't read that much. I will just read it if I feel like too. I didn't pay much attention.
But last December, me and my son were eyeing for one when we went to the church store because I decided to have one. Unfortunately, they don't accept card so we left empty handed.
Then two weeks ago after the mass, I asked my husband if he could buy me a bible. Without a second thought, he chose one and bought. We immediately requested the priest to bless it before bringing it home.
I told to myself that I will make sure to find time reading it as I want to get to know the words of God. And I know by reading the scriptures and knowing about His words would make a lot difference. It will change me definitely as a person and it will nurture my spiritual being which I think is important as a Catholic/Christian.
I am very thankful to my husband for giving me the holy book. I absolutely loving it and getting closer to God.
I am praying that God through the Holy Spirit and His son Jesus Christ will help me to guide and understand every phrases, words written there.
