As she wanted to have a best chance of survival, she chose to have a mastectomy a few days after she was diagnosed. It was fortunate that there was no sign of cancer metastasizing. Then she had series of radiation and chemotherapy to moved on.
After learning that she has cancer I had made my homework, red some articles, information about the effects of these treatments. It was distinctly fresh on my mind how I imagined her struggling from these. Thinking how would her body taking it well with all the pains, fatigue, hair loss, and the effect to her nervous system. It was her pivotal moment but she was determined and brave enough to fully embrace this horrible disease.
Her life during trying times, however, was anything but strength, hope, courage and faith in God. I remember the times that I am talking to her saying how afraid or worried I was, she would always be the one to say to keep faith and believed that God is in control and He will work things out. And I know for sure that we, her family kept her spirit up.
Now everyday feels like getting better and better for her. She had battled and bit cancer for 9 years since 2004 through God's grace and healing power. Me and my family couldn't have been proud of her. It was very painful for us being away from her during her battle as she facing that dreadful illness but her braveness and drive to fight for her life is such an inspiration to all of us.
My MOM is FIGHTER and SHE SURVIVED! Glory and Praise God!!!
